MBB: The Racers drop two spots after losing to SMU Tuesday night
Murray State dropped two spots to #125 in the KenPom computer rankings after Tuesday night’s loss to SMU.
With an 11-point loss to the Mustangs, which was right around pregame expectations, there was little movement for the Racers overall.
Drake hammered Non-D1 Simpson, 89-51, but, again, Non-D1 games don’t effect your computer metrics, win or lose.
It’s a busy night in The Valley, as there are four games on the schedule, with the biggest happening out west, as SIU gets a Top-100 opportunity at Nevada.
After last night’s games, here are this morning’s updated KenPom rankings for the Missouri Valley Conference:
#101 Northern Iowa — Up 2 spots (Next: Hosts #162 Furman Friday)
#102 Bradley — Up 2 spots (Next: Hosts #291 UT Martin tonight)
#108 Belmont — Up 4 spots (Next: At #302 Oral Roberts Saturday)
#125 Murray State — Down 2 spots (Next: Hosts #251 Nicholls Saturday)
#126 Illinois State — Down 5 spots (Next: Neutral-site game with #23 USC on Friday)
#127 Southern Illinois — Down 5 spots (Next: At #91 Nevada tonight)
#129 UIC — Down 2 spots (Next: At #362 Chicago State Saturday)
#140 Drake — Down 2 spots (Next: Hosts #201 SIUE Friday)

#263 Evansville — No change (Next: Hosts #156 Middle Tennessee tonight)
#288 Valparaiso — No change (Next: Hosts #251 Nicholls on Wednesday)
