Anderson named to MVC All-Scholar Team
MBB: The Murray State senior will graduate with his MBA this May

The Missouri Valley Conference named Murray State senior guard Quincy Anderson to their Scholar-Athlete First Team. Anderson is joined on the First Team by SIU’s Trent Brown, Evansville’s Ben Humrichous, Bradley’s Connor Hickman, UIC’s Filip Skobalj and Belmont’s Cade Tyson.
After starting his collegiate career at Minnesota State-Mankato, where he earned a degree in Sports Management, Anderson is carrying a 3.88 GPA at Murray State as he works toward getting his MBA.
According to the Missouri Valley Conference, the criteria for the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team voting parallels the CSC (College Sports Communicators) standards for Academic All-America nominations. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must be enrolled at their institution at the time of nomination either as undergraduates or graduate students. [The 12-month residency requirement for undergraduate transfers is no longer required.] An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), and a graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don’t have an established graduate GPA.
On the floor, Anderson is leading Murray State in scoring with 12.8 points per game. Anderson and his Racer teammates will open Missouri Valley Conference Tournament play on Thursday against Missouri State at 12:00pm in St. Louis.
Love Quincy and his sweet family! So glad I got to meet him! Congratulations!
