Belmont holds off Missouri State, 76-67
WBB: The Bruins will face Murray State for the Missouri Valley title on Sunday

Belmont made 9-of-11 free throws in the fourth quarter, including going 4-for-4 from the charity stripe in the final 0:20 of the game, to close out Missouri State, 76-67, in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament semifinals Saturday night in Evansville.
With the win, the Bruins advance to their first Missouri Valley Tournament championship game where they’ll face Murray State at 1:00pm on Sunday. Both teams will try to win their first-ever Valley Tournament championship.
Missouri State led 42-41 at the half, before Belmont outscored the Lady Bears 18-11 in the third quarter to seize control of the game.
Four Bruins scored in double-figures, led by Jailyn Banks who scored 15 points on the evening.
Murray State and Belmont split their two regular season meetings, with each team winning on their home floor. Three weeks ago, the Racers beat the Bruins, 83-78, in Murray thanks to 24 points sophomore guard Haven Ford.
