Brown leads Start Lublin to playoff win
MBB: The former Murray State guard scored 23 points in Game 1 win in OBL playoffs
Tevin Brown scored 23 points to lead Start Lublin to an 84-82 win over Czarni in Game 1 of their Best-of-5 quarterfinal series in Poland’s OBL playoffs.
Brown knocked down 5-of-10 three-pointers and grabbed six rebounds in 29 minutes of action in the Game 1 victory. The former Murray State great leads the team with 16.3 points per game this season, along with shooting 43.3% from beyond the arc.
Game 2 of the series will be played on Saturday.

When Brown finishes his season in Poland, he’ll return to Canada to play for the Ottawa Blackjacks. Ottawa’s first game in their regular season is scheduled for Sunday. Brown is expected to report to the Blackjacks after Start Lublin’s season is complete.
After starting his professional career playing for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA G League, Brown has now played in New Zealand, France, Hungary, Canada and Poland.
Brown started all 125 games in his Murray State career, three times being named First Team All-Ohio Valley Conference. He helped lead Murray State to three regular season championships and a pair of NCAA Tournament trips in 2019 and 2022. Brown is 7th on Murray State’s all-time scoring list with 1,915 points, and is the program’s all-time leader in made three-pointers with 354.
