MBB: The former Racer led the team in points per game last season

For the second-straight year, former Murray State standout Tevin Brown will head to Canada to play for the Ottawa Blackjacks.
Brown played for Ottawa last season, and led the Blackjacks with 17.2 points per game. He’s currently finishing up his season with Start Lublin in the Polish Basketball League, where he’s leading the team in scoring with 16.6 points per contest while shooting 45.5% from three-point range.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tevin back to Ottawa for the 2025 season,” Ottawa General Manager James Derouin said in a statement. “His exceptional performance last year, including leading the team in scoring and earning the Clutch Player of the Year Award, was instrumental in our success. Tevin’s commitment to excellence and his connection with our community make him a perfect fit for our team as we strive towards a championship. We look forward to seeing him continue to elevate our program and inspire our fans this summer.”
After starting his professional career playing for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA G League, Brown has played in New Zealand, France, Hungary, Canada and Poland.
Brown started all 125 games in his Murray State career, three times being named First Team All-Ohio Valley Conference. He helped lead Murray State to three regular season championships and a pair of NCAA Tournament trips in 2019 and 2022. Brown is 7th on Murray State’s all-time scoring list with 1,915 points, and is the program’s all-time leader in made three-pointers with 354.
Start Lublin’s final regular season game is scheduled for May 6th, while Ottawa’s first game is slotted for May 18th.
