Canaan helps Olympiacos to 3rd place win
MBB: Olympiacos won the consolation game in the EuroLeague tournament
Olympiacos held off a late run from Fenerbache to win the EuroLeague Third Place Game, 87-84.
Murray State Hall of Famer Isaiah Canaan made a pair of three-pointers, scoring eight points in all, helping Olympiacos get the win.
Olympiacos led 87-76 with 1:45 left before Fenerbache closed the game on an 8-0 run. Fenerbache’s Sertac Sanli hit what appeared to be the game-tying three-pointer as time expired, but an official’s review showed the shot was taken just after the buzzer.
