Coaches: Revenue distribution will help grow game

WBB: If a January vote passes, women's teams will start receiving NCAA Tournament "units"

Getting a chance to play in the NCAA Tournament is always one of the ultimate goals for any college basketball player. For basketball programs and their respective conferences, there is a financial component to playing in the tournament. Men’s conferences received roughly two million dollars, or a “unit”, for each game one of their schools played in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. Unfortunately, in the women’s game, there isn’t any tournament revenue currently being distributed to the conferences.

That could soon change.
