Confident Conner ready for junior season
WBB: The Marshall County product is hoping for a breakout year
Cayson Conner’s journey to join the women’s basketball program at Murray State almost never happened.
“Growing up, I always played softball and basketball,” Conner said. “Those people that knew me knew that softball was my favorite sport. That was my whole life.”
“The thing about Cayson is we had our eye on her early, but every indication was that Cayson was going to play softball in college, or Cayson was going to go somewhere and prepare herself for medical school,” Murray State Women’s Basketball Coach Rechelle Turner said. “Basketball wasn't really in the equation.”
