On her way to being named Kentucky’s 2023 Miss Basketball, Haven Ford, racked up eye-popping numbers during her playing career at Rowan County High School:

  • 3,326 points — 11th-most in Kentucky High School Athletic Association history

  • 1,459 rebounds — 29th-most in KHSAA history

  • 783 assists — 14th-most in KHSAA state history

  • 705 steals — 7th-most in KHSAA history

To call Ford a great high school player might be doing her a disservice. Despite her incredible career at the prep level, the transition to Murray State and Division I basketball was less than seamless.
