When Scott Edgar came to Murray State in 1991, his recruiting mission was simple.

“We knew we had to upgrade the talent,” Edgar’s assistant Kenny Roth said. “We made an effort that we wanted to sign two high school kids and then five or six junior college kids. I had been gone from Arkansas for four years but had known Marcus (Brown) and his high school coach. He had come to Arkansas’ camp, and I had watched him in AAU. We had a lot of relationships in Arkansas from a high school standpoint to be able to fall back on.”
