(The 2023 edition of Racer Hoopalooza will be the weekend of July 28th and 29th, as Murray State Basketball honors the Scott Edgar-era Racers from 1991-1995. I recently spent two hours sitting with Coach Edgar in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, picking his brain about his time leading Murray State to three Ohio Valley Conference championships and two trips to the NCAA Tournament.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll roll out more of my conversation with him as we talk about the players, the teams, and the moments that made his four years in Murray so special. I look forward to bringing all of that to you as we closer to Hoopalooza.)

I just fell into coaching.”
