Courbon says he's headed to Murray State
MBB: The 20-year-old guard has played professionally in France the last two seasons
Mathis Courbon, a 6’5 guard from France, has announced on social media that he intends to start his college career at Murray State.
Courbon has played professionally for the last two seasons with Chorale Roanne in the LNB Pro B — the second level of professional basketball in France. Even though he is a professional in France, there are some NCAA loopholes that allow professional players from overseas come to the United States to play collegiately.
In 23 games this season with Chorale Roanne, Courbon is averaging 2.5 points in 8.1 minutes of action.

Before being promoted to Chorale Roanne, Courbon played for Espoirs Roanne — the franchise’s junior team. In the 2023-24 season, Courbon averaged 18.6 points per game, shooting 53.4% from the floor and 41.2% from beyond the arc for Espoirs Roanne.
Here is a video of Courbon playing with Chorale Roanne.
With Courbon’s commitment, here are the 12 players, at this moment, who are set to be on next year’s roster playing for the Racers in 2025-26:
