Deener says she's picked up Racer offer
WBB: The Class of 2029 recruit says this is her second Division I scholarship offer

Murray State Head Coach Rechelle Turner has shown she’s willing to put in several years of work while trying to land a recruit for her program. One of the most recent players she apparently has her eyes on hasn’t even started high school yet.
Kennedy Deener, a 5’8 combo guard in the recruiting class of 2029, posted on X that she’s received a scholarship offer from Murray State. Deener also posted that her other Division I offer is from Western Kentucky.
Last season, as an 8th grader playing for Taylor County High School in Campbellsville, Kentucky, Deener led the Cardinals in scoring with 19.0 points per game, while also grabbing 3.7 rebounds a content. Deener shot 48.2% from the field and 41.2% from three-point range last year. She earned 2nd Team All-State honors from both the Louisville Courier-Journal and Lexington Herald-Leader.
