Missouri Valley Conference Tournament champion Drake, who earned a #10-seed in the NCAA Tournament East Region, will play #7-seed Washington State Thursday in Des Moines, Iowa.
The Bulldogs went 28-6 this season, including a 95-72 win over Murray State on February 18th. The winner of the Drake/Washington State game will get the winner of #2-seed Iowa State and #15-seed South Dakota State in the Round of 32 on Saturday.
Indiana State, the Missouri Valley Conference’s regular season champion, was listed as the third-team on the outside looking in of the NCAA Tournament.
