Ellington commits to George Mason
MBB: The senior forward will have one year of eligibility remaining

Former Murray State forward Nick Ellington posted on social media Wednesday afternoon he has committed to finishing his collegiate career at George Mason.
Ellington posted a goodbye letter to Murray State fans on Tuesday night, ending his two-year run with the Racers. The senior from St. Louis started 62 of 65 games at Murray State, averaging 10.6 points and 5.8 rebounds over that time.
The 6’7 Ellington started his career at Meridian Community College, where he spent two seasons. After transferring to Eastern Illinois for one year, Ellington joined Murray State prior to the 2023-24 campaign. He gained a sixth year of eligibility with the new rule granting an additional season for those who attended and competed at non-NCAA schools.
As he begins his final season at George Mason, Ellington is 86 points shy of 1,000 Division I career points.
George Mason finished 27-9 last season, winning a share of the Atlantic 10 regular season championship. After losing in the tournament championship game, the Patriots accepted an invitation to the NIT. George Mason advanced to the second round of the NIT before losing to Bradley.
Best to Nick Ellington!
Go Nick! You will be missed!!
