Ford says he's sticking with the Racers
MBB: The incoming freshman signed with Murray State back in November
Incoming freshman Tristian Ford, who signed with Murray State back in November, has confirmed he’s going to be a Racer.
The 6’3 combo guard from Chicago Prep Sports Academy told ZagsBlog.com he is still committed to Murray State. He originally picked the Racers over Bradley, Toledo, Milwaukee and UIC.
On3 Sports and 24/7 Sports both list Ford as a 3-star prospect. On3 ranks Ford as the #2 overall prospect in Illinois, and the #16 combo guard nationally in the Class of 2025.
Here’s a video from when Ford originally committed to Murray State that will help you get to know him a little bit better.
With Ford confirming he’s coming to Murray, here are the ten players who are now set to be on next year’s roster playing for the Racers in 2025-26:
Ben Shtolzberg (6’4 senior guard/3.8 PPG last year at UC Santa Barbara)
KJ Tenner (6’0 sophomore guard/2.4 PPG last year at West Virginia)
Mason Miller (6’9 senior guard/1.1 PPG last year at Creighton)
Fredrick King (6’9 senior forward/2.7 PPG last year at Creighton)
JJ Traynor (6’9 senior forward/5.6 PPG last year at DePaul)
Javon Jackson (6’3 senior guard/11.6 PPG last year at UIC)

Brock Vice (6’10 sophomore forward (1.2 PPG last year at North Texas)
Brayden Shorter (6’5 junior guard/15.5 PPG last year at D-II Washburn)
Tristian Ford (6’3 incoming freshman guard)
Here are the two players who could potentially return to the Racers next year, but have yet to make anything publicly official regarding their future:
Junior guard Patrick Chew
Senior guard Justin Morgan
Once Chew and/or Morgan publicly announce their intention to play for the Racers next year, they will count toward the five available scholarships Miller still has the ability to fill for the 2025-26 season.
