Akron announced Sarah Jones as one of their new assistant women’s basketball coaches on Monday. Jones will be working for first-year head coach Ryan Gensler.
Jones spent the last three seasons at Murray State under Rechelle Turner. She was part of the staff that led the Racers to a 53-37 record in those three years, including a 22-10 season in 2021-22. That campaign ended with the program’s first trip to the WNIT since 2009.
