Former Racer signees heading to Kennesaw State
MBB: The two incoming freshmen originally signed with Murray State in November
A second high school senior that originally signed with Murray State back in the fall has decided to play his college basketball at Kennesaw State.
Kaden Rickard, the 6’6 guard' from Alabama, announced his commitment to Kennesaw State on Sunday. Rickard averaged 15.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists during his senior season at Bob Jones High School in Madison, Alabama — the same high school where former Racer Jeffery Moss played.
Rickard and Trey Simpson were two of the three freshman who signed with Murray State in November. Both reopened their recruitments after the coaching change in March. Simpson signed with Kennesaw State three weeks ago.
The 6’8 forward was the 2024 Alabama Class 3A Player of the Year.
Tristian Ford was the third incoming freshman who signed with Murray State in the fall. Ford announced on April 19th he’s committed to the Racers and will be on the 2025-26 roster.
