Former Murray State forward Devin Gilmore signed with Al Taawon in the Saudi Basketball League last week. In the team’s season-opener on Friday, a game Al Taawon lost to Al Halil 113-69, Gilmore scored 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field. He also chipped in with two rebounds and two assists in just 11 minutes of action.
Gilmore is coming off a successful season playing for Barsy Atyrau in the Kazakhstan National Basketball League. The 2021 Murray State graduate averaged 15.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 35 games last season.
Asia-Basket.com named Gilmore First-Team All-League as well as Forward of the Year.
