WBB: The Class of 2026 recruit is a 5'8 guard from Kansas

Mary Grant, a Class of 2026 recruit from Shawnee Mission, Kansas, posted on X Wednesday afternoon she is committed to Murray State.

Grant wrote on X: “Committed!! I couldn’t be more excited to be committed to Murray State University. Can’t wait for the next chapter. GO RACERS”

The 5’8 combo guard is the second commitment for Rechelle Turner’s 2026 recruiting class. Grant joins Australian Alice Magnanini in the class.

According to her X page, Grant chose Murray State over offers from Marshall, Air Force, Cleveland State, Bradley, South Alabama, Evansville and Long Beach State.

KSHSAA Covered named Grant 2nd Team All-State after the 2024-25 season. Of the 15 players that earned All-State honors from that site, Grant is one of only six non-seniors to be selected.
