Hall of Famer James shines in Australia
WBB: Ke'Shunan James led the NBL1 in scoring this season with the Norwood Flames
Murray State Hall of Famer Ke’Shunan James just finished up a dynamic season in Australia playing with the Norwood Flames in the NBL1 Central league. James led the league in scoring with 22.9 points per game, while also chipping in 8.2 rebounds a night.
James played in 12 of the team’s 18 games this season, as the Flames missed the playoffs with an overall record of 8-10. The former Racer great helped Norwood win their regular season finale, 89-75, over South Adelaide, as she finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Here are some highlights from that game.

After the finale with South Adelaide, James told the NBL1’s official website, ““I’m in Greece for the next season but I’d love to come back again next season and play again.”
The 30-year-old James recently signed with Panathlitikos in Greece where she’ll begin playing later this summer. Her professional career has now taken her to Greece, Ukraine, Mexico, Slovakia and Australia.
James scored 2,119 points in her Murray State career, and she was named the 2018 Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year. James was inducted into the Murray State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2023.
