Illinois State's Dowell into transfer portal
WBB: There are three All-Valley players returning next season -- two from Murray State
Illinois State sophomore guard Shannon Dowell has entered the transfer portal. Dowell earned 2nd Team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors this season, after averaging 17.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
The 5’10 sophomore guard led Illinois State in scoring this season, as Dowell helped lead the Redbirds to the WNIT semifinals.
On her X page, Dowell posted this message about her decision:
As of this moment, only three of 16 All-Conference players will return next season, and two of those three are from Murray State.
