Jackson named Valley Player of the Week
MBB: The senior guard averaged 24.5 points in two games last week
Murray State senior guard Javon Jackson is this week’s Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week.
Jackson averaged 24.5 points last week, as the Racers split their pair of games against SMU and Nicholls.
Against SMU, Jackson scored 26 points, the second-highest scoring output of his career. At home Saturday against Nicholls, Jackson dropped in 23 points. In the two games, Jackson was a combined 14-for-28 from the field, 5-of-9 from three-point range and 16-of-17 from the free throw line.

So far this season, Jackson is averaging a team-high 20.3 points per game. He averaged 11.6 points last season at UIC, which was the best scoring season of his college career.
Jackson and the Racers will host Little Rock on Tuesday night at the CFSB Center.
