MBB: The 6'4 guard is a 4-star prospect in the 2026 recruiting class

Marcellous “Cello” Jackson posted on X Saturday night that he is currently on his official visit to Murray State. Jackson posted a picture in a Murray State uniform, but included the hashtag: #notcommited
247 Sports lists Jackson as a 4-star recruit in the Class of 2026. Originally from Cordova, Tennessee, Jackson now plays for Columbus High School in Miami, Florida. Playing alongside Duke signees Cameron and Cayden Boozer, Jackson helped lead Columbus to a fourth-straight Florida Class 7A state championship back in March.
Jackson posted on X on August 20th that he has narrowed his list of potential schools down to nine: Murray State, Memphis, California, Temple, Penn State, Texas State, Arkansas State, Seton Hall and Virginia Tech. 247 Sports is reporting Jackson will visit Arkansas State on September 13th and Memphis on September 19th.
The 6’4 Jackson was listed as a Top 150 prospect in the Class of 2026 by 247 Sports back in August. Today, he is currently listed at #126 in the 2026 class.
It was nice to watch him play with the team today. Seemed to play mature for a high schooler. Fingers crossed he enjoyed his visit!
