Juice will be loose on the gridiron
MBB: The former Racer guard will play one final season of football in Murray

Juice Hill is coming back to Murray State for one last season — but not on the basketball court.
Hill announced on social media Thursday that he will use one his final season of athletic eligibility to suit up for the Racer football team.
Playing at Little Rock Christian High School, Hill excelled at football, basketball and track & field. In football, Hill was named Arkansas’ Gatorade Player of the Year in 2018 after throwing for 3,084 yards and 37 touchdowns against just four interceptions. He helped lead Little Rock Christian to their first-ever state championship.
After originally signing with Arkansas to play his college basketball, he transferred to Salt Lake Community College where he earned National Junior College First Team All-American Honors.
Hill transferred from Salt Lake to Murray State in 2020, as he played with the Racers for two seasons. He started all 34 games on the 2021-22 team that went 31-3 and won an Ohio Valley Conference championship. Hill averaged 13.4 points and 5.1 assists per game that year for the Racers.
After Matt McMahon left Murray State to become the head coach at LSU in the spring of 2022, Hill followed him to Baton Rouge for one season, before transferring to Loyola Marymount to complete his college basketball career in 2023-24.
Hill isn’t the first former Murray State basketball player to take a crack at playing with the Racer football team. Most recently, Brion Sanchious, who played for McMahon from 2015-19, suited up as a wide receiver during the 2019 season. Sanchious played in all 12 games for the Racers, catching six passes that season — three of them for touchdowns.
Juice is a great athlete and I hope he gives the team some extra "juice" like he did for the basketball team. Very surprised he is coming back to Murray though.
