Murray State beat Southern Illinois, 75-70, Friday night at the CFSB Center. Here’s what you need to know:

  • With the win, the Racers improved to 13-4 overall and 6-2 in the Missouri Valley Conference.

  • Senior forward Katelyn Young scored a game-high 27 points, which pushed her over the 2,000-point mark for her career.

  • Freshman guard Haven Ford scored a career-high 17 points.

  • Senior forward Hannah McKay scored 11 points, including the final five of the game, and grabbed eight rebounds.

  • After scoring just 23 points in the first half, the Racers responded with 52 points in the second half.
