Langston shines in matchup of former Racers

Opening night for Mexico’s National Professional Basketball League played host to a pair of former Murray State Racers facing off for the first time.

Wayne Langston and Abejas de León defeated Ivan Aska and Soles de Mexicali 86-82 late Friday night.

Langton, who played for Murray State from 2014-16, scored 16 points, grabbed three rebounds and dished out five assists in the win.

Aska, the 2009 Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year, had ten points, three rebounds and three assists.

Abejas de León is the defending champion of the LNBP. The two teams will meet again tonight.
