Learn headed to Ireland to begin pro career
WBB: The 6'1 forward helped Murray State win a Missouri Valley title last year

The Trinity Meteors in the Ireland Women's Super League announced on Thursday they’ve signed Ava Learn to a professional contract.
Learn, who helped lead Murray State to their first-ever Missouri Valley Conference championship last season, will start her first professional season with the Meteors in early October.
After spending her first two collegiate seasons at Purdue, Learn finished her career with two wildly successful seasons at Murray State. In 65 games with the Racers, Learn averaged 12.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Her 321 rebounds last season were the fifth-most in a single-season in Murray State history.
Learn showed incredible improvement in her outside shooting during her final year in Murray. In her first three collegiate seasons, Learn was a combined 1-for-21 from three-point range. Last season, she was 34-for-89 (38.2%) from beyond the arc.
Along with being named the Missouri Valley Conference’s Most Improved Player in 2024-25, Learn also earned 2nd Team All-Valley honors.
Learn had 13 double-doubles for the Racers last season. Her best game of the year, arguably, came in Murray State’s first-ever win at Northern Iowa when she scored 14 points and grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds. Learn was one of only ten players in the country last season to have a game with at least 14 points and 19 rebounds, while doing it in 31 minutes or fewer of playing time.
