MBB: Wade is the second assistant coach named to Miller's first staff at Murray State

Murray State Head Coach Ryan Miller has officially hired Mardracus Wade as his newest assistant coach.
Wade comes to Murray State after completing his second season as an assistant coach at Alabama State. Before coming to Alabama State, he spent two seasons as an assistant at South Carolina State.
"I'm super excited to join Coach Miller at Murray State," Wade said in a statement. "Being able to join such a prestigious program with the rich history Murray has in place is an incredible honor. I cannot wait to recruit and develop the next generation of players that come through here. I'm ready to get to work and chase a Missouri Valley Conference championship."
Wade had a successful four-year playing career at the University of Arkansas, where he finished in the Top eight in school history in steals and in the Top 20 in made three-pointers.

"I've followed Coach Wade's career for years, and bringing him onto our staff is a fantastic addition for Murray State basketball," Miller said in a statement. "His experience, notably helping guide Alabama State to the NCAA Tournament, coupled with his strong recruiting ties in the Memphis area and dedication to player development, perfectly aligns with our vision for success in the Missouri Valley Conference."
After playing professionally in the NBA G-League and overseas, Wade returned home to Memphis to start his coaching career with the Hoop City Basketball Club. Ernie Kuyper, who was the longtime president of the Hoop City Basketball Club, was officially named the General Manager for Murray State’s program on Tuesday.
