Miller says international players will be in Murray soon
MBB: Lachlan Crate and Roman Domon are expected to join the Racers by end of July
Murray State Head Coach Ryan Miller told the Murray Rotary Club on Thursday he expects to have his entire roster on campus before the Racers head to The Bahamas in a couple of weeks.
Roman Domon, who is from France, and Lachlan Crate, who is from New Zealand, both played for their home countries in international competitions this summer. Domon is still taking part in the FIBA U20 EuroBasket tournament in Greece through this weekend. Crate is done playing for New Zealand, and is wrapping up some family time before he gets to Murray.
“I’ll say it the European way — he’s on holiday right now,” Miller chuckled. “He's in Europe vacationing. He gets here July 19th with his family.”

Domon will play in the final two games of the EuroBasket this weekend. Once the tournament is over, Domon will have to finish the process of getting himself to Murray prior to the team heading to The Bahamas for their exhibition tour.
“He has a visa appointment on July 22nd, and it takes about four to five days to process that visa,” Miller said. “So he'll probably be here the week of the 27th. That’ll complete the team.”
Once Crate and Domon join their new teammates, they’ll be able to take part in what are left of the ten summer practices the Racers can have ahead of their trip to The Bahamas. Murray State will be in The Bahamas from August 1st through the 7th. The Racers will play three games against international competition on August 4th, 5th and 6th.
