Morant earns NBA weekly honor
MBB: NBA names Memphis guard Western Conference Player of the Week

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant is the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Week.
After returning from his 25-game suspension, Morant led the Grizzlies to three-straight wins last week. In those wins, Morant averaged 28.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 9.0 assists.
Morant scored 34 points in his first game back December 19th at New Orleans, scoring 27 in the second half and making the game-winning basket at the buzzer to cap off the 24-point comeback. That was Morant’s sixth career game-winner and his third career buzzer-beater.
With those three wins, the Grizzlies improved to 9-19 on the season. Memphis is still five games behind the final play-in spot in the Western Conference.
