Morant 'grateful' for Hall of Fame nod
MBB: The former Racer great will be inducted during Hoopalooza July 27th

Former Murray State great Ja Morant was back in the gym on Saturday hosting his first Youth ProCamp of the summer in Memphis. After the camp, Morant went to social media to share his love for all the support.
Morant will be hosting another Youth ProCamp in Murray on July 25th and July 26th at the CFSB Center. The camp will lead into his Murray State Hall of Fame induction on Saturday, July 27th during the annual Hoopalooza event. The former Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year and 2019 #2 draft pick of the Memphis Grizzlies was a slam dunk to be selected for the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.
During today’s camp, Morant talked with the Memphis media and explained how excited he is for next month’s ceremony.

“Big time,” Morant said. “Obviously, the feeling, I feel like hasn’t really kicked in yet. (The) Hall of Fame is a big thing, especially during college. Everything, where I’m at, pretty much came from Murray State allowing me to come here, be myself, and play my game and push me to the next level to achieve my dreams. I’m forever grateful and thankful for them. That’s always my family. That’s another one of my homes. I’m super excited to be there and also have my camp before that.”
