MBB: Morant's buzzer-beating layup gave Memphis the win over New Orleans
Ja Morant, in his first game back after serving a 25-game suspension, scored at the buzzer to lift the Memphis Grizzlies to a 115-113 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Morant scored 27 of his 34 points in the second half, including this spinning layup to beat the buzzer and the Pelicans. Here’s video of his game-winning shot from @NBAonTNT.
Morant finished the game with 34 points, six rebounds, eight assists, two steals and a block. He was 12-of-24 from the field in 35 minutes of action.
With the win, the Grizzlies improve to 7-19 overall, as they’re currently seven games out of the final play-in spot in the Western Conference. Memphis will be back in action Thursday night at home against Indiana.
