Morant to be honored at Hoopalooza
MBB: Ticket information hasn't been released yet for the July 27th event

For the second-straight year, a former Racer great will be inducted into the Murray State Hall of Fame during the annual Hoopalooza event. In 2023, Jonathan Stark officially entered the Hall of Fame. This year, it will be Ja Morant.
Morant will be honored during Hoopalooza on Saturday, July 27th at the CFSB Center. Ticket information will be released in the coming days. Larry and Susan Suiter are the title sponsors for this year’s event.
To say Morant is a no-brainer selection to the Hall of Fame is beyond an understatement. In his two seasons with the Racers, Morant was a part of a pair Ohio Valley Conference championship teams that included trips to the NCAA Tournament in 2018 and 2019.
Morant’s 532 career assists broke Don Mann’s program record. Since assists became an official NCAA statistic, Morant became the first player in Division I history to average at least 20.0 points and 10.0 assists per game. His 1,213 career points are good for 31st in Murray State history — and are the fourth-most for any Racer that spent two years in the program.
For a quick walk down memory lane, here’s a highlight reel from Morant’s sophomore season.
I can’t wait for my first Hoopalooza!!! Go RACERS!
First time in since Prohm’s first tenure that I’ll actually be home for Hoopalooza. Beyond excited to finally get to attend! Hope there is a decent MC! 😆
