Pacers announce they've waived Payne
MBB: The Murray State Hall of Famer signed with Indiana on October 9th
Nine days after Cameron Payne signed with the Pacers, Indiana has waived the veteran guard.
The Pacers announced Saturday they waived Payne, Kyle Guy and Ray Spalding ahead of Thursday’s season-opener with Oklahoma City.
Payne played in three preseason games with Indiana in the last week-and-a-half. Averaging about 17 minutes per game, Payne averaged 6.7 points, shooting 6-for-21 (28.6%) from the field and 4-for-13 (30.8%) from three-point range.

The Murray State Hall of Famer spent last season with the New York Knicks on a one-year veteran minimum deal. He appeared in 72 regular-season games, mostly off the bench, averaging 6.9 points per game. During the playoffs, his scoring dropped to 2.1 points per game as the Knicks advanced to the NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals.
Payne is entering his 11th professional season. Indiana was the eighth NBA team he’d signed with.

I hate that for Cam, hope he lands with a team quickly. I think he still has something to offer, hope he gets the chance to show it.
