Pair of recruits say they hold Racer offers
MBB: One is in the Class of 2026, while the other is in the 2028 recruiting class
A pair of high school prospects have posted on social media they have received scholarship offers from Murray State.
EJ Vernon, a 6’8 wing from the Class of 2026, and Jaylin Avery, a 6’7 forward in the Class of 2028 have both posted about their offers.
Vernon is spending a year of post-graduate work at the SoCal Academy in Los Angeles, California. Before reclassifying, Vernon played his high school ball at Crossroads High School in southern California, where he averaged better than 20 points and ten rebounds a game this season.
According to his X page, Vernon has scholarship offers from Murray State, Loyola Marymount, San Jose State, UC Santa Barbara and Wichita State.

The other recruit that says he has an offer is Jaylin Avery, who just finished his freshman season at Archbishop Ryan High School in Philadelphia.
There is little statistical information online about Avery. He is playing his AAU basketball with the Team Melo EYBL team.
