Payne helps Sixers beats Knicks
MBB: Philadelphia now trails New York 2-1 in the Eastern Conference playoffs

Cameron Payne came off the bench to score 11 points while helping Philadelphia beat New York, 125-114, in Game 3 of the NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs. The Knicks now lead the Best-of-7 series 2-1.
Payne didn’t score in 2:34 of action in Game 1, and then didn’t play at all in Game 2. In Thursday’s Game 3, the Murray State Hall of Famer made an early impact with back-to-back three-pointers in the quarter. Here is video of that sequence, courtesy of @NBAonTNT on X/Twitter.
Payne played 16 minutes, finishing with 11 points on on 4-of-7 shooting, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. He also chipped in with three assists and two blocked shots.
Joel Embiid led the Sixers with a playoff career-high 50 points to lead Philadelphia.
Game 4 will be played in Philadelphia in Sunday.
