When Murray State Head Coach Rechelle Turner installed her ‘system’ before last season, one of the expected beneficiaries of the shift to a turbo-paced offense was sophomore guard Briley Pena. During her freshman season, the 5’4 Pena struggled at times being able to get shots off over bigger defenders while playing in the Racers’ grind-it-out half-court offense. Once Murray State started playing at warp-speed, Pena took immediate advantage by launching three-pointer after three-pointer before the defense had time to get set.
