If you’re looking for something fun for your kids to do this summer, Murray State Head Coach Steve Prohm is once again offering four basketball camps for your kids to choose from. The four camps will be:
This summer will be the second year for the ‘Parent-Child’ camp, and Prohm thought it was a no-brainer to bring it back at the success it was last summer.
“We changed the name from ‘Father-Son’ to ‘Parent-Child’ because we wanted to make sure there could be any combination (of parents and kids),” Prohm said. “We shortened the hours in ‘Parent-Child’. I think we’re going just 9:00am-2:30pm (this year). It was 9:00am-4:00pm (last year), but about 2:00pm, most of the parents were gassed. We actually cut the camp short, and I think they were happy about that. I think that was probably the highlight of the summer just because I think it was a really good experience for the parents, for us as coaches, and for the children that were involved. We had a good array of ages. We had good numbers last year, and hopefully we’ll have a big turnout for that.”
During each camp, kids will receive instruction from current and former Murray State coaches and players. Each camper will receive a t-shirt and ball as part of their experience. You can up for all the camps at SteveProhmCamps.com. The times and costs for each camps are different, but that information can be found on the camp website. While registering your child early is preferred, you can still sign your kids up right up until the day before each camp starts.
