On Sunday afternoon, Illinois State’s Shannon Dowell completed a three-point play with 5:26 left to tie the game with Murray State at 74. The Redbirds had just ripped off a 10-2 run to even up the score, and it felt like a late December fork in the road moment for the Racers.
