Murray State will play Omaha on November 3rd, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as part of the The Field of 68’s Opening Day Marathon. The Racers and Mavericks will be part of six games played in two different locations on the first day of the season. The games will air on YouTube and X.

Drake vs. Northern Arizona (3:00pm CDT)
South Dakota State vs. Merrimack (8:00pm CDT)
In Rock Hill, South Carolina:

The Field of 68 is a media company founded by college basketball writers Rob Dauster and Jeff Goodman. Last season, the company hosted the inaugural Field of 68 Opening Day Showcase at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The event featured three games between mid-major teams on the opening day of the college basketball season — with Southern Illinois vs. College of Charleston playing the first official game of the season.
Omaha won the Summit League last season, going 22-13 overall, and earning a 15-seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Mavericks lost to St. John’s in the opening round, 83-53, in their first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament.

The game will be a homecoming of sorts for Murray State Head Coach Ryan Miller, who is a native of Mitchell, South Dakota — just 72 miles from Sioux Falls.
The only question still needing to be answered about Murray State’s schedule, that hasn’t previously been reported, is who the Racers will host for the exhibition game.
