MBB: Murray State will play six teams currently ranked in the poll
After winning their first two games of the season, Murray State moves up to the top spot in the ‘Others Receiving Votes’ category in this week’s CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll.
Gonzaga is once again #1 in the poll, picking up 27 of a possible 31 first-place votes. #2 Saint Mary’s and #3 Liberty picked up the other first-place votes.
There are four Missouri Valley Conference schools in the Top 25 this week: #8 Northern Iowa, #10 Illinois State, #17 Belmont and #20 Bradley.
Along with that quartet of teams, the Racers will also play #6 Akron and #22 McNeese later this season.
Murray State will play their most challenging non-conference game of the season Tuesday night when they take on SMU in Dallas.
