Racers likely won't play WKU this season
MBB: Murray State and the Hilltoppers still have two years left on a four-year deal

While Murray State and Western Kentucky still have two years remaining on their four-year home-and-home contract, it doesn’t appear the third game in that series will be played this season.
During Monday’s edition of the Racer Report Live, Murray State Head Coach Ryan Miller says even though the game would have likely been played at the CFSB Center this year, it looks like they’ll need to postpone the renewal of the longtime rivalry until next season.
“We will probably kick it down the road one year,” Miller said. “We tried to schedule it, and it just didn't fit on the calendar map. The timing we had, the timing they had, it just made it very, very challenging. Then, obviously, with the conference (schedule) kind of moved up into the middle of December, I can't remember the exact dates, but it really made it challenging to squeeze so many games in a small tight frame. It just didn't work on the calendar.”

Miller did say the Racers will be wrapping up their home-and-home series with Little Rock this season. Murray State played at Little Rock back in December of 2023, and this will be the return game in that series. Miller said the announcement of a date for that game could be coming soon.
So here’s what we know Murray State has on the docket for this upcoming season:
Home vs. Little Rock (Back end of a home-and-home series from 2023-24)
November 11 — at SMU
November 23-25 — vs. McNeese, George Washington and Middle Tennessee at the Cayman Islands Classic
December 2 — vs. Morehead State
With 20 conference games, Murray State still has five non-conference games to fill to complete their slate for next season.
Not at all. I think his explanation covers all the bases. The game will be back next year.
Bummer!!!
