Racers report to Murray this weekend
MBB: Several new players sent messages to the Racer Nation ahead of their arrival
Summer workouts for Ryan Miller’s first team at Murray State will begin next week. Before his teams arrive in Murray this weekend, several of them have taken to social media to send messages to the Racer Nation.
KJ Tenner, who played his freshman season at West Virginia, posted this video on the Murray State Men’s Basketball X account:
Tenner is a 6’0 guard from Memphis, who played his prep basketball at Cordova High School. In 30 games with WVU last season, he averaged 13.2 minutes, 2.4 points, 1.1 assists and 0.4 turnovers per game. He had a career-high 10 points in West Virginia’s season-opening win over Robert Morris, where he knocked down both of his three-point attempts.
For the season, Tenner shot 35.0% from the floor and 15.4% (4-for-26) from three-point range. He also had 32 assists against just 12 turnovers.
Coming out of high school, Tenner won Mr. Basketball in Tennessee’s Class 4A after averaging 21 points per game. It took him just 42 varsity games to reach 1,000 career points, which was the fastest in Cordova High School history.
Tristian Ford signed with the Racers back in November, and reaffirmed his commitment to Murray State after Ryan Miller was hired. He sent this video to the Murray State Men’s Basketball X account today:
The 6’3 combo guard from Chicago Prep Sports Academy picked the Racers over Bradley, Toledo, Milwaukee and UIC.
On3 Sports and 24/7 Sports both list Ford as a 3-star prospect. On3 ranks Ford as the #2 overall prospect in Illinois, and the #16 combo guard nationally in the Class of 2025.
Hey are there going to be any roster additions before summer workouts?
