Before Murray State’s players and coaches had to face reporters at Missouri Valley Conference Basketball Media Day in St. Louis, they had a special detour this morning. The Racers visited with the students at Patrick Henry Elementary as part of the conference’s community outreach program. 

“It was really fun,” Murray State junior guard JaCobi Wood said. “We got to give back and help out the little kids, let them draw, listen to us read to them as well, and get to play basketball with them. Just being able to give back to them and help them out, no matter what they may be going through, to just brighten up their day in any way possible was really fun for us.”
