Murray State will lift the curtain on the 2024-25 season when they host Bethel on the opening night of the season on November 4th. This will be the first time since December 29th, 2018 that the Racers have faced Bethel.

With Bethel officially being added to Murray State’s schedule, the Racers now have six of 11 non-conference dates set for the upcoming season. We know Murray State has a road game at Middle Tennessee (with no date announced yet), plus a yet-to-be publicly announced guarantee game at a Power 5 school. That gets the Racers to eight non-conference games. As for those remaining three non-conference games, Murray State Head Coach Steve Prohm said last week on the Missouri Valley Conference summer media call that those will all be home games.

When it comes to the matchups at the Diamond Head Classic, there still has been no news released on those games. In 2023, tournament organizers announced the matchups on August 8th, so history says we are getting to close to finally hearing something.

As of today, here is how Murray State’s non-conference schedule is looking:

TBD — at Middle Tennessee State

TBD — at Power 5 guarantee game

November 4 — vs. Bethel

December 8 — vs. Southeast Missouri State

December 14 — at Western Kentucky

December 22 — at Diamond Head Classic

December 23 — at Diamond Head Classic

December 25 — at Diamond Head Classic

Do you have an idea of when the schedule will be released? (I feel like I ask every year - very excited to get it on my calendar, haha)

Is that the only non division one game for the regular season? Is Murray playing a exhibition game?
