Report: Payne traded from Bucks to Sixers
MBB: The Murray State Hall of Famer will try to bolster Philly's 3-point shooting

Cameron Payne is on the move again.
Before today’s NBA trade deadline, ESPN is reporting the Milwaukee Bucks are trading Payne and a 2027 second-round pick to Philadelphia in exchange for Patrick Beverley. The 29-year-old Payne played in 47 games this season for the Bucks, as he averaged 6.2 points per game while shooting 39.2% from three-point range.
This will be the fifth team Payne has played for in the NBA. After being taken in the draft lottery by Oklahoma City in 2015, Payne has also played for Chicago, Cleveland and Phoenix.
Philadelphia is 30-20 overall this season and are currently in fifth-place in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. Payne will back up former Kentucky Wildcat Tyrese Maxey at point guard for the Sixers.
