Reports: Payne signs with Knicks
MBB: The Murray State Hall of Famer signed a one-year free agent deal

Multiple NBA insiders are reporting Murray State Hall of Famer Cameron Payne has signed a free agent contract with the New York Knicks. The one-year deal is reportedly worth a little more than $3,000,000.
Payne started last season in Milwaukee, where he played 47 games, before the Bucks traded him to Philadelphia. In 31 games with the 76ers, Payne averaged 9.3 points and 3.1 assists per game. He shot 39.0% from three-point range last season — which was the 43rd-best percentage in the NBA for players with at least 267 attempts.
The 29-year-old will provide the Knicks with more backcourt depth after New York traded guards Immanuel Quickley and Quentin Grimes last season.
Payne scored 11 points in Game 3 of Philadelphia’s playoff series with the Knicks back in April, as he knocked down 8-of-18 three-pointers in the series.
