Secrist says she's headed to Murray State
WBB: The 5'10 guard spent the last two seasons at Indiana State
After playing the last two seasons at Indiana State, Keslyn Secrist has announced she intends to continue her college career at Murray State.
The 5’10 guard averaged nearly 14 points and shot 35.7% from three-point range this past season.
Secrist played just 9.1 minutes and scored 4.2 points per game as a freshman during the 2023-24 season. This year, she was in the starting lineup in 31 of 32 games, playing 34.5 minutes a game while scoring 13.8 points and grabbing 4.8 rebounds a night.
Her shooting numbers increased dramatically from her freshman to sophomore seasons. In her first year at Indiana State, Secrist 36.4% from the field, 33.3% from three and 78.4% from the free throw line. This past season, she knocked down 43.5% of her shots, 35.7% from beyond the arc and 88.8% from the charity stripe.
Secrist will have two years of eligibility remaining.
In Murray State’s 109-70 win at Indiana State on March 9th, where the Racers clinched a share of the regular season championship, Secrist was 11-of-16 from the field as she scored a career-high 26 points.
