SIU's Davis heads to transfer portal
MBB: Another All-Conference player won't return to the Valley next year

SIU sophomore guard Kennard Davis, Jr. is entering the transfer portal, according to The Portal Report on X.
Davis earned 2nd Team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors this season, averaging 16.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game. He was second on the team in scoring and rebounding this year for a Saluki squad that finished the year 14-19 overall and 8-12 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Davis joins Valparaiso’s Cooper Schwieger as the second All-Conference player today to enter the transfer portal.
Only five of the 16 All-Conference players, either due to graduating or entering the transfer portal, are returning next year … so far. The transfer portal doesn’t officially open until Monday, March 24th.
